Thanks to the folks responsible for putting
this great website out there for us Alumni to find ;-) . It was
great to find out what all you folks have been up to since our
incredible experience as the best band in the land.
After marching under Mike and Cricket, I
still had the bug and went on to march with Skylarks, Royal Sabres,
Santa Clara Vanguard, Blue Devils, 27th Lancers, and Freelancers.
But I did manage eventually to get through SCU with a technical degree.
My Dad, Band Booster extraordinaire, Wayne Wengert is still involved
with WGI and DCI to some degree and keeps me posted with what's what
there. These days you can find me
living in Berthoud, CO (small town, like Morgan Hill used to be), with
my husband, Chris, our seven Border Collies, and three Horses. I
now compete with the dog's as my partners (dog agility), but at least
I'm not having to rely on them during a sabre exchange ;-) . In my
spare time I judge for the AKC (American Kennel Club) Agility program.
Life is good! |

Woodwinds (Alto Saxophone),
Drum MajorHello fellow Emerald
Regime Folks! Life is great! I have been with my partner of 7
years and we are now living out in Manteca. We are in the process
of looking for a place out in the east bay. (The central valley is just
TOO hot..and far away!) Currently a wholesale account executive
with an outstanding lending company. Small world. Seems a
year does not go by that I don't run into Live Oak Alumni some way or
another.

Marched: Sometimes Percussion (Cymbals and Tympani
- but not at the same time)Hello Acorns,
I marched from 1968-72, or sometime in the `80's - you be the judge. We were the East San Joaquin County Parade Circuit Champions
back then. I'll never forget those trips through Gustine, Newman and
Hillmar. I was third cymbal for my first two years. I eventually was promoted to 2nd
timpanist which I enjoyed playing for another three years. Band was awesome!
Since I graduated I have been working at the Union
76' station in Gilroy (you know, the one with the big food mart). I am hoping to eventually get promoted
there too. I am still waiting for that "special lady" in my life.
I own 4 dogs, 6 cats, a pig and 2 chickens.

(Flute)Hi All! It's so cool to see that the band
is still kickin butt under Jeff's watchful eye! Right on!
I'm currently Director of Production with
Evan-Moor Educational Publishers, developing educational software for
PreK-6...doing a lot of animation! I take out my flute every once in a
while, but it's all banged up due to the numerous attempts I would make
at pretending it was a baton...won't play a note...so I had to take up
bagpipes....just a wee bit different.
Kellie Good and I are still best
friends...I'm going to have to tell her about this! It was great
catching up on all of you...and I would love to hear from you! -later
