Our
first concert is Monday, December 20th at 6:30pm at the Britton Auditorium!
The children have proven they are ready and wanting
to do a concert this December, and so it shall be!
Please try to attend and
show support for the children and staff of the MHASBP.

We hope to encourage your child’s participation in the joy
of instrumental music.Music Program
Objectives:
- Provide instrumental instruction for 5th and
6th grade students in Brass, Woodwind, and Percussion.
- Beginning players will have an opportunity
to learn an instrument.
- These classes will enable students to join
Middle & High School Music programs with confidence and pertinent skills.
We would like to help the musicians of the future
better enjoy their music experience through providing a foundation at the
Elementary level. Students will be able to move into “elective music”
classes, offered during the day, in 7th - 12th grades.

Jackson Elementary School Music Portable, San Martin Gwinn Elementary School
Music Portable
Fees: $150 for 4 months ($37.50/month).
We ask for 2 payments in advance.
Other Costs: Instrument rentals. We
work with the
Music
Tree (Morgan Hill) and
Music
Village (San Jose) to get the best rental deals for our students.
Financial Assistance: The Boosters offer
financial support for students and families based on “need.” Please
contact us for further information and fill out the Financial Assistance Request
Form.

Britton Beginning Students, Mon, Tues, Wed, Thurs starting September 20, 2010 at
3:05pm
Jackson Beginning Students, Mon & Wed starting September 20, 2010 at 2:30pm
San Martin Gwinn Beginning Students, Tues & Thurs starting September 21, 2010 at
2:30pm
Children will be supervised between the end of school and beginning of band.
Children will also be supervised until guardian picks them up after band.
Class Offerings: The entire school year
Sept 20/21 – May 31 (8 months)
Instrument Selection: The program is
oriented towards band instruments - Brass, Low Brass, Woodwind, & Percussion.
We will have instruments to tryout. The Band Director, parent, and student
will need to make the selection.
Sponsor: This program is offered through
the Live Oak Band Boosters. It is sanctioned by the Morgan Hill Unified
School District as an approved after school activity.
