Congratulations!
The WBA Championships, in Thousand Oaks, was a great experience for the
students, instructors and parents. Even though Finals was rained out,
the Band and Guard still had a chance to compete with much larger bands.
And still took 2nd place in their class. After taking first place in
class “A” for four years in a row Mr. Locsin and his staff challenged
the Live Oak Emerald Regime Marching Band and Color Guard by moving up
to class “AA”, where the competition is tough and larger. By placing
first at Gilroy, Independence and Logan, and second at Fresno and WBA
championships, the band and color guard showed they were ready for the
challenge. Thank you, Jason Locsin.
Now the Winter Programs!
JOLT X
During JOLT the band participated in the Heritage Festival and won
several awards. 1st place in class 2A, Adjudicator’s Choice Award
(Highest Scoring Band in all Classes), Gold Rating (Unanimous Superior),
and the following students received Outstanding Musician Awards, John
Kellet, Nick Pusateri, Tanner Halinan and Kieth Arbogast.
Congratulations to all students and staff! |
